Recommended Progress Report Formats, New England B-WET

Suggested comprehensive final progress report 1 format (5-10 page limit)

  1. Project Identification
    • Organization Title
    • Project Title
    • Award Number
    • Report Period
  2. Introduction - A very brief summary of the project and target audience.
  3. Purpose/Goals - List of the objectives and goals of the project as described by grant proposal.
  4. Approach - Describe the work that has been performed and link to the goals and objectives.
  5. Results - Outline the results of your project linked directly to the goals and objectives noted in this report and in the proposal. Additionally, include the following:
    1. Output period
    2. Number of students reached (can be broken down annually, or summed over life of project)
      • Contact hours with students
      • Number of low income or underserved youth reached 2
    3. Number of teachers reached
      • Contact hours with teachers
  6. Evaluation - Outline any problems or programmatic changes that were made to the project (provide linkages to the project proposal). Explain how these problems/changes affected the approach and/or results.
  7. Changes/Problems Encountered - Outline how you will adapt/improve the program if funded the following year.
  8. Dissemination of Results – Describe how project results or products have been shared, through workshop participation, distribution, presentations, website materials, etc.
  9. How to improve the project – Outline what worked and what didn't work, and how you would do the project differently based on evaluation results or your own observations.
  10. Attachments - Link or list other documents as appropriate, such as products including curricula materials, websites, videos, articles/news clippings, project photographs, project maps or geographic/spatial data files, and/or evidence of NOAA support (e.g. photographs of signs at project site, funding credit in outreach materials, press releases, etc.).

1When are final reports due? A final comprehensive report is due three months after the completion of your award. Your report due dates will be posted on Grants-On-Line and you will be notified via email when the report is due and when it is delinquent.

2What do you mean by underserved population? Reported information can include (please specify) the ethnic (minority and English as a second language students), gender (percentage females), and social (participants in free or reduced lunch - may include minority and female students) demographics of the participants.
