Proposed New Management Measures for American Lobster

On October 6, 2008, NOAA Fisheries published a proposed rule in the Federal Register. The rule proposes new management measures including a mandatory Federal lobster dealer electronic reporting requirement, changes to the lobster maximum carapace length restrictions and a change to the v-notch definition applicable to several lobster conservation management areas.
