Notification Requirements
for
Vessels Intending to Fish for Scallops in Closed Area II
15-days notice: All vessels intending to fish for scallops in Closed Area II must notify NMFS by e-mail or FAX at the
address below prior to the 15th of each month preceding the month when scallop fishing will take place. For example: If you intend to scallop
fish in Closed Area II in August 1999, then you must notify NMFS of your intent by July 15, 1999.
5-days notice: Vessels must notify NMFS 5-days prior to the start of each scallop fishing trip to Closed Area II so that
arrangements for an observer may be made or a waver provided.
