SMALL MESH FISHERY (WHITING)
Implementing regulations for these fisheries are found at 50 CFR Part 648 Subpart F
The Northeast (NE) multispecies small mesh fishery, also known as the whiting fishery, is managed by the New England Fishery Management Council. This fishery is currently managed under an exemption to the NE Multispecies FMP. However, the Council is developing an independent management scheme for this fishery.
